Quality improvement during a pandemic
Since the MHAIST collaborative ended, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought additional challenges and opportunities for service provision. During this time, many of the collaborative teams have tested and implemented digital solutions to care and treatment, including the use of NHS Near Me.
Mental health teams across Scotland shared learning through a national learning session. Specific insights were shared from:
- NHS Grampian (PDF),
- NHS Lothian (PDF),
- NHS Highland (PDF),
- NHS Orkney (PDF), and
- NHS Lanarkshire (PDF).
In addition, case studies were developed by NHS Highland Eating Disorder Service (PDF) and the Scottish Mental Health Service for Deaf People (PDF) to share learning.
Here we share an evaluation of Healthcare Improvement Scotland’s approach to rapid implementation of NHS Near Me using a QI approach. Additional information and resources can be found on the NHS Near Me website.
